Helicopter Twirls Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known California Beach
A chopper hovering over a well-attended coastal coastline suddenly commenced twirling uncontrollably, eventually losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as beachgoers watched.
Recordings shared online depict the helicopter starting to spin near Huntington Beach then falling towards the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck amidst palms and a steps adjacent to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Information
The Huntington Beach fire department said five people were taken to hospital including two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on that day.
Three people on the street were injured. Details on their condition were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not immediately released.
