Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
A plane carrying the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday following a fracture was found in the jet's front window, as stated by an announcement which stated that the secretary was unharmed.
"The plane touched down in accordance with established safety measures and all individuals on the flight, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," a spokesperson stated in a public statement.
The secretary was coming back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels when the incident occurred.
This event does not mark the first time that a American defense plane ferrying a high-ranking official has encountered mechanical issues.
Earlier this year, a American military jet carrying Secretary of State Marco Rubio to Munich was forced to turn back to the US capital after suffering a technical issue.
